Abstract:
Human resource issues are important for all clinical leaders and managers as staff are the key resource for good patient care and their costs constitute over 75% of the budget. Major changes are scoped in relation to training and education for different professional groups, recruitment, working practices and career patterns. Current NHS planning priorities include developing NHS organisations as good employers.
