Modified Pawlow projection for the upper thoracic spine

Adequate visualization of the upper thoracic spine can be difficult using conventional lateral projection techniques. This article describes a modified Pawlow projection that uses the cephalad angle instead of the caudal angle. Sample radiographs are provided to illustrate the advantages of using this modified projection.
