Abstract:
Streptococcal necrotizing fasciitis in previously healthy persons can develop quickly and may be difficult to diagnose. In a number of cases, this potentially fatal condition has been seen originally in the eyelid and orbit. Intensive antibiotic therapy and prompt debridement are the usual course of treatment.
