Abstract:
This article is a concise review of the neurologic assessment process. The neurologic assessment is composed of six components: mental state, cranial nerve, sensory system, motor system, cerebellar function, and reflexes. Accurate assessment and documentation of the neurologic status exam is essential to prevent or correct further neurologic deterioration.
