Paracetamol metabolism in two ethnically different Spanish populations

Spanish populations showed similar paracetamol metabolism, but smokers excreted more unchanged drug. Their oxidation metabolite levels were intermediate compared to other groups, potentially increasing susceptibility to paracetamol hepatotoxicity.
