Abstract
Objective:
The purpose of this article is to describe the MR imaging appearance of skeletal muscle metastases.
Conclusion:
Skeletal muscle metastasis must be considered in patients with a known primary carcinoma who present with a painful muscle mass. Muscle metastasis may be the initial presentation of carcinoma. The MR imaging appearance, although not specific, may provide clues to the diagnosis.
