[The bacterial vaginosis problem. II. The microbiology of bacterial vaginosis]

Microbial species in the vaginal content of healthy woman in her reproductive age were described, as well as the importance of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) producing Lactobacillus spp. The characteristics of the basic microbial species associated with the BV was presented. Discussed were the various possible methods for BV diagnosing. The coloured microscopic preparation was accepted and applied as the main one in the routine practice.
