Summary

Transforming Growth Factor-beta 1 (TGF-beta 1) enhances osseointegration quantity for dental implants in vivo. However, this growth factor did not accelerate the rate of osseointegration in the study.

Background:

  • Incomplete osseointegration remains a cause of endosseous implant failure.
