Leadership in a healing environment

Decades as a nurse, health care consultant, and speaker, and more importantly, years as a cancer patient, have led the author to conclude that our health care system is not fundamentally about healing. This article explores what is missing in the current environment and how leaders, while making their own roles more fulfilling, can initiate the creation of a truly healing system.
