Composition and function of "hornmark" in cutaneous horns

    Summary

    Cutaneous horns may form from coagulated plasma proteins within the "Hornmark" structure. This finding suggests plasma protein components are key to the increased cohesiveness of horny cells in cutaneous horn formation.
