Abstract:
This study compared the changes in blood chemistry that occur during operative hysteroscopy when either 5.0% mannitol or 1.5% glycine is used as a distention medium. Blood values of both groups were measured immediately before and after surgery. Only 1.5% glycine was used until December 1992, and then 5.0% mannitol was used exclusively.
