Single tooth implant restoration: surgical management for aesthetic results
Abstract:
Correct implant positioning and appropriate preparation of hard and soft tissues are prerequisites in creating an optimal emergence profile, aesthetics, function, and periodontal health. The use of a healing abutment and the following maturation of soft periimplant tissue develop a subgingival dimension that allows an emergence profile of the final restoration consistent with the size of the adjacent teeth and the tooth to be replicated. This article reviews the determinant factors at first-stage surgery, second-stage surgery, and at the prosthetic phase.
