    Background:

    • Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common condition in aging men.
    • Transurethral microwave therapy (TMT) is a treatment option for BPH.
    • Ultrasonic transrectal triplex investigation provides detailed prostate assessment.

    Observation:

    • 68 patients with BPH underwent ultrasonic transrectal triplex investigation.
    • Prostate echo structure, vascularization, and hemodynamics were assessed.
    • Examinations were performed pre-TMT and at 2 weeks, 1, 3, and 6 months post-TMT.

    Findings:

    • Two weeks post-TMT, ultrasound showed BPH destruction foci and peripheral inflammatory edema.
    • Fibrotization of the prostate tissue was observed later in the study.
    • Reduced prostatic circulation developed by the six-month follow-up.

    Implications:

    • Ultrasonic imaging effectively tracks post-TMT prostate tissue changes.
    • Understanding these changes aids in managing BPH treatment outcomes.
    • Long-term hemodynamic alterations warrant further investigation.
