Summary

New sulfated polysaccharides, including chitosan, lutelan, and krilan sulfates, demonstrated significant hypolipidemic effects in rats. These compounds effectively reduced very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) and increased high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol levels.
