Abstract:
Three women with several diagnoses, including depression and psychosis, personality disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, alcohol abuse, and physical disease, were treated with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (fluoxetine, paroxetine, fluvoxamine). One patient was prescribed paroxetine in addition to methylphenidate. While receiving these agents, two women experienced undesirable sexual arousal and the third had increased sexual desire, arousal, and hypersexuality.
