[Acceleration of histologic tissue processing and decalcification using a microwave oven]

    Summary

    This study demonstrates that a domestic microwave oven can significantly accelerate histoprocessing and bone tissue decalcification. Histoprocessing time was reduced to 2 hours, with decalcification taking 3–8 hours, maintaining microscopic image quality.
