    The ratio of urinary proline to hydroxyproline (Pro/Hyp) differs between children and adults across various groups, including controls and patients with specific growth or connective tissue disorders. This Pro/Hyp ratio in a specific urinary fraction is a potential age indicator, unlike total Pro/Hyp.
