Abstract:
The main goal of the follow up in ovarian cancer is to achieve an early detection of recurrence after a complete remission or to assess the antitumoral efficiency of the treatment used. When the tumoral antigen CA125 is expressed by the primary tumor, the most sensitive test is the sequentially evaluation of the CA125 in the blood. An increasing slope of the serous CA125 is related to disease progression which must be confirmed by imaging techniques including immunoscintigraphy.
