Abstract:
A study of healthy and inflammed mucosal folds within the middle ear has demonstrated another although narrow airway across the tympanic cavity to the aditus and antrum. The anatomical anomaly of a high placed jugular bulb can interfere not only with ventilation and drainage of mesotypanum but also of the epitympanum and antrum.
