Area of Science:

  • Spinal oncology
  • Neurosurgery
  • Radiology

Background:

  • Spinal neural foraminal widening is often caused by neoplastic, vascular, or developmental issues.
  • Schwannomas and neurofibromas are the most frequent culprits behind spinal dumbbell lesions.
  • Slow-growing tumors can also present as causes of neural foraminal widening.
