[Congenital diverticula of the ureter]

We report a case of congenital diverticulum of the ureter diagnosed during the neonatal period in a female patient associated with a contralateral multicystic kidney. The prenatal ultrasound has suspected the presence of hydronephrosis and the final diagnosis was made after birth by the intravenous pyelography and retrograde uretro-pyelography. A simple resection with termino-terminal anastomosis was made with uneventful postoperative course.
