Abstract:
The problem of oral hygiene in contemporary dental medicine is the problem of successful maintainance of oral health. Contemporary dental medicine recommends the methods for maintaining of total oral hygiene, as preventive action against dental ills. Hadith of Holly Prophet Muhammad s.a.v.s. is a note about what he has done, recommended or amended. Holly Prophet Muhammad s.a.v.s. recommended entire hygiene of teeth, gums, through tooth brushing and washing mouths by water three times. Actually, this was the first time in the available literature that someone recommended maintaining of oral hygiene. It can be said without reserve that Muhammad s.a.v.s. has established a preventive dental medicine. Muslims are recommended to maintain hygiene through Holly Qor'an: "There are the people that like washing themselves in it (mosque), and Allah loves those, who clean themselves very much."
