    Area of Science:

    • Reproductive Medicine
    • Gynecology
    • Surgical Innovation

    Background:

    • Uterine anomalies represent a spectrum of congenital malformations impacting female reproductive health.
    • Accurate diagnosis and understanding of rare uterine variations are crucial for effective patient management.
    • Uterus unicornis, a known anomaly, can present with variations requiring further characterization.

    Observation:

    • This study details a previously unreported uterine anomaly: uterus unicornis with uterus solidaris.
    • Five cases illustrating this specific uterine malformation are presented with comprehensive descriptions.
    • Laparoscopy proved essential for the accurate diagnosis of this rare condition.

    Findings:

    • Patients with uterus unicornis with uterus solidaris demonstrate a good potential for fertility.
    • However, this anomaly is associated with significant risks including high fetal wastage.
    • Increased incidence of premature labor, delivery complications, and small-for-gestational-age infants are observed.

    Implications:

    • Early and accurate diagnosis of uterus unicornis with uterus solidaris is vital for reproductive counseling.
    • Understanding the associated obstetric risks allows for proactive management strategies.
    • Laparoscopic techniques enhance diagnostic capabilities for complex uterine malformations.
