Abstract:
The measure of a chronic wound's progress (or lack of progress) toward healing is difficult. An instrument designed to measure healing in pressure ulcers must conform to two statistical concepts: validity and reliability. Existing tools are examined, based on this conceptual statistical framework. A model for the perfect wound healing instrument can be described.
