[Nephroblastoma in children. Results of treatment (1989-1994)]

The experience of combined treatment of 75 children with nephroblastoma (1989-1994) has been evaluated. A relationship between the treatment results, on the one hand, and stage and histological pattern of tumor, on the other, has been established. The analysis confirmed the following progress made during 1973-1988 and 1989-1994: 2-year recurrence-free survival increased from 38.9 to 79.4% while 5-year survival--from 35.2 to 72.6%.
