Abstract:
This case report demonstrates the effect of articulation stent-strut extension during attempts to deploy a stent in a tortuous, calcified right coronary artery. The manipulation of the stent-sheath relationship and the effect of a tortuous, calcified artery produced serial dissections resulting in the implantation of three stents to seal the dissection. Caution should be used when employing rigid sheathed stent systems through tortuous vessels.
