[Contemporary opinions on intraocular lens implantation in children]

The purpose of the paper is a presentation of contemporary opinions about IOL implantation in children based on literature and own 11-years-long experience in this field. IOLs are implanted into the bag in children aged from 2 years. Removal of the central part of posterior capsule by capsulorhexis and anterior vitrectomy through posterior capsule hole is performed before implantation.
