[A new methods of gastroplasty after total gastrectomy]

The author describes a new procedure which he has studied himself in order to restore alimentary transit after total gastrectomy for carcinoma. This requires raising a jejunal loop using Roux' technique in the retrocolic position and anastomosis to the end of the duodenum below, and end-to-side anastomosis is then made with the end of the esophagus. Finally, the author discusses the advantages of this operation.
