Looking beyond the walls

How patient care will be provided as inpatient numbers continue to decline, presents a challenge to the nurse executive. Looking beyond the boundaries of the health care facility, and developing partnerships with physicians and the surrounding community will position the nurse executive to move forward in the health care arena.
