The article examines the relations that may exist between gender and holistic representations of health and illness having medicine flower as approach's parameter. It presents a short traditional medicine history and the appearance of alternative therapeutic practice. By understanding gender like a process of social construction it suggests a theoretical account proposition that explains the majority presence of women between users and flower therapists.
