Brainstem auditory evoked potentials reveal brainstem involvement in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and generalized anxiety disorder. OCD patients showed longer wave I-V latency and reduced wave III amplitude, suggesting brainstem dysfunction in OCD.
