Peritoneal dialysis and decreased mortality rates

The study reported here is particularly significant because all Canadian patients starting dialysis for end-stage renal disease over a five-year period were included (Fenton et al 1997). The study tracked these patients from their first day on dialysis and captured information at all stages of their treatment.
