[Diagnostic possibilities of magnetic resonance (MR) tomography in visual system diseases]

Magnetic Resonance (MR) is a method of the whole visual system imaging, including orbit and visual tract. The advantages of MR over CT are: better contrast resolution, possibility of multiplanar imaging and elimination of ionizing radiation. The main indications and limitations of MR in the evaluation of visual system pathology are presented.
