Summary

Multisite atrial pacing effectively prevents atrial fibrillation (AF) recurrence in patients with sick sinus syndrome. This advanced pacing strategy reduces AF induction and improves rhythm control, decreasing the need for anticoagulation and antiarrhythmic drugs.

Background:

  • Long-term clinical experience with 30 patients undergoing multisite atrial pacing for paroxysmal and chronic drug-refractory AF.
