[Classical German brain pathology especially aphasiology--The Berlin Charity hospital]

The history of the classical period of German clinical brain pathology, especially aphasiology, is described. The present article covers authors, neuropsychiatrists and one phoniatrist, all of whom worked in Berlin before the First World War. The study aims at providing an insight into that most fruitful period to those who are presently concerned with assessment and treatment of aphasia and other neuropsychological disorders.
