Cysteine protease inhibitor, E-64d, prevents in vitro cerulein- induced trypsinogen activation

Inhibitors are molecules that reduce enzyme activity by binding to the enzyme. In a normally functioning cell, enzymes are regulated by a variety of inhibitors.
