Contemporary issues in the management of endometrial cancer
1Gynecology Service, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY, USA.
Abstract:
Several important issues exist in the management of endometrial cancer, including the possible induction of endometrial cancer by tamoxifen: the newly developed surgical staging system; the increasing use of minimal-access surgery, including laparoscopy; the role of postoperative adjuvant therapy; the frequency and extent of follow-up visits and surveillance; and the use of estrogen replacement therapy in women with a history of endometrial cancer.
