[Computed tomography diagnosis of pancreatic abscess and its surgical drainage]

In a retrospective study of 40 patients with acute necrotizing pancreatitis, 16 developed abscesses. The follow-up CT Scan and a radio-surgical cooperation permitted an early diagnosis of pancreatitis and time of surgical act. The 16 abscesses had surgical drainage, 5 patients died.
