  • A patient (DF) with ventral stream damage performed a prehension task involving grasping disks with holes.
  • The task required allocentric spatial coding to adjust grip aperture and hand orientation based on hole distances and orientations.

Findings:

  • DF could not adjust grip aperture or hand orientation for three-hole disks.
  • She could orient her hand for two-hole disks but failed to adjust grip aperture to the hole distance.
