Summary

The open laparoscopic technique is safer and faster than blind trocar insertion for gallbladder surgery. This method reduces major complications and speeds up pneumoperitoneum achievement.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare the safety and efficiency of blind versus open (Hasson) trocar insertion.
  • To evaluate complication rates and procedure times in laparoscopic surgery.

  • 150 patients with gallbladder lithiasis undergoing laparoscopy were randomized into two groups: blind (V group) and open (H group).
  • Complication rates (major and minor) and time to achieve pneumoperitoneum were recorded.

    • The open laparoscopic technique is demonstrably safer and more efficient than the blind approach.
