Abstract:
The biological checkup of asymptomatic patients but presenting various risk factors is justified in the hope of detecting and correcting premorbid pathological abnormalities early and treating various silent but threatening diseases effectively. The author considers type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterolemia, thyroid diseases, renal insufficiency, prostate and colorectal cancer, sexually transmitted diseases, and prenatal work up.
