A disposable sealing device (Dispo-sand) for conversion between pneumoperitoneum and minilaparotomy

During laparoscopic procedures, minilaparotomy is a safe technique for removal of large specimens and for the performance of complicated procedures. However, it is time consuming and troublesome to close the minilaparotomy to recreate the pneumoperitoneum. We describe a new device (Dispo-sand) that enables instant conversion between pneumoperitoneum and minilaparotomy.
