Resumen

Los fósiles de dinosaurios sugieren el cuidado paternal en los troodontidos y oviraptoridos del Cretácico. Sus antecedentes:

  • Los descubrimientos fósiles de dinosaurios adultos con garras de huevo provocan preguntas sobre el cuidado parental en especies extintas.
  • Comprender el cuidado parental en los dinosaurios no aviares puede iluminar la evolución de las estrategias reproductivas en los arcosaurios.

Objetivo del estudio:

  • Para investigar los comportamientos de cuidado parental en los dinosaurios troodontid y oviraptorid del Cretácico.
  • Para comparar las estrategias reproductivas de estos dinosaurios con los archosaurios y aves existentes.

Principales métodos:

  • Análisis de los volúmenes de embrague de huevos de dinosaurio.
  • Examen de la histología ósea en dinosaurios adultos en incubación.
  • Comparación de los hallazgos con regresiones establecidas para el cuidado parental de archosaurios.

Principales resultados:
