[Adult laryngeal hemangioma]

• A 31-year-old male presented with sudden-onset hoarseness and intermittent breathing difficulties.
• Direct laryngoscopy revealed a large, cherry-sized globular formation obstructing the larynx.
• Histopathological analysis confirmed a cavernous hemangioma.

Findings:

• Surgical ablation of the laryngeal hemangioma was performed successfully under general anesthesia.
• The patient experienced immediate relief of symptoms and an uneventful recovery.
• Post-operative follow-up showed no signs of recurrence at the laryngeal site.

Implications:

• This case highlights the importance of considering rare diagnoses like laryngeal hemangioma in patients with persistent airway symptoms.
• Surgical excision remains a primary treatment modality for symptomatic adult laryngeal hemangiomas.
