Abstract:
Patients with severe GSI owing to ISD should be identified before surgery. Standard anti-incontinence procedures such as the Burch, M-M-K, and needle suspension have unacceptably high failure rates in these cases. Careful patient selection for the procedure and tailoring the type of surgery for the patient's condition will improve the clinical outcome and reduce failure rates of anti-incontinence surgery.
