AIDS in the abstract: teaching AIDS to Iowa nurses

In 1987 and 1988, the authors presented four continuing nursing education workshops on AIDS to Iowa nurses. The article discusses these workshops in terms of their background, content, presenters, participants, strategies of presentation, changes which took place as a result of participants' feedback, and evaluations. In addition, it discusses how these workshops affected the presenters personally.
