Abstract:
This study, using data from March 1982 and March 1984, was conducted to determine discharge patterns for patients at one tertiary care hospital in San Francisco. In particular, information was gathered on length of stay, payment source, and patient disposition. Analysis of the data provides a clearer picture of some of the changes taking place in this country's health care delivery system.
