Severe agitation and hyperventilation after contrast media application during coronary angiography
1Franz Volhard Klinik, Virchow Klinikum der Humboldt Universität Charité, Berlin, Germany. moll@fvk-berlin.de
Abstract:
Severe agitation developed in two patients 20 min and 120 min after cardiac catheterization, clearing again within 24 hr. Neurotoxicity of contrast media may be the cause for this clinically dramatic, not previously reported side effect of coronary angiography.
