Intraocular uveal microexplosions ("pops") during contact diode laser transscleral cyclophotocoagulation (cyclodiode) occurred in nearly half of patients, particularly those with higher baseline intraocular pressure (IOP). These "pops" were linked to increased postoperative inflammation and hyphema risk but did not affect overall success rates.
