Background:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a prevalent, disabling autoimmune disease with an unknown cause.
  • Genetic associations with RA have primarily focused on the Major Histocompatibility Complex (MHC) class II region, specifically HLA-DR alleles.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the genetic basis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) susceptibility.
